Our boy bot Henri (left) holds great celestial reference in our Liberté collection. Named for French physicist Henri Poincaré – a scientist in the field of dynamical systems and celestial mechanics – his most notable works were in his significant contributions to understanding the influences and chaotic behaviours of the three body problem. Simply put, he focussed on tracking and predicting the movements of three celestial bodies within their own gravitational orbit (we referenced this in our new logo!). Notably publishing Les Méthodes Nouvelles de Mécanique Céleste in 1890 to explain his research, his document on the chaotic behaviours of orbiting bodies were considered pivotal to studies undertaken since.
