It is little known that Marcus Aurelius’s Meditations was not intended as the reference so many of us regard it as today for leading a meaningful and deliberate life. His 12 books written for his own reflection discusses his personal struggles, insights into humility and the interconnectedness of humanity, as well as urging individuals to practice mindfulness and develope resilience in everyday life. To Himself, as Meditations was originally titled, continues to resonate with contemporary readers for both its wisdom and relevance to navigating the complexities of modern life.
